Testing the Installation

You can test your server installation by running the echoString sample. This sample uses the SOAP/AM Server internal loopback mechanism and does not require that you have a NonStop or Pathway server running. The sample is located at:

http://MySystem.MyDomain.com:8080/services/samples/echoString/echoString.html

This manual uses the example host name "MySystem.MyDomain.com" throughout. Substitute your own host name wherever you see MySystem.MyDomain.com.

Open this page in your browser, enter some text in the test field, and press Echo. If the text is echoed properly the server installation is complete.
